The Bridge is a working crossing, and today is busier than ever, having been restored during a ambitious 12 year refurbishment programme, completed in 2011.
Two and a half kilometres long and 110 metres high, it presents the pinnacle of 19th-century bridge construction, and is the world's greatest cantilever trussed bridge. The Forth Bridge was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 2015.
